CHAIRMAN'S CORNER

            Welcome back everyone!

    TREASURE ISLAND
We had a great summer at Treasure Island - Congratulations to our 23 Scouts who earned 76 Merit Badges earned, 13 Rank advancements, 23 polar bear patches.  Troop 332 was the Winner of the Gateway Contest (thanks Steve, Diane, Louise and the older Scouts for their work on the gateway), Diane L was the winner of the Adult Leader Cooking Contest, Phil  was the Winner of the Adult Leader Rifle Marksmanship, Bob  and Diane were the Winners of the downstream Adult Leaders Regatta, and the Troop Relay Team (Eric C, Steve F, Erik L and Eric L).

I want to thank all the Senior Scouts and Adult Leaders who provided wonderful leadership to the Troop during our stay at TI.  Hope to see you all back next year.

    RE-REGISTRATION
The Troop is conducting its Re-Registration during September. Scout fees are $90 (includes $10 for Boys' Life) and Adult Fees are $20 (plus $10 if you also want Boys' Life) and are due by September 30th.   After September 30th and additional $10 will be due.  Please make checks payable to Troop 332, BSA.

    50th Anniversary
As you may remember from the last parent's night, Troop 332 is celebrating its 50th Anniversary  year with a number of special programs.  The first will be our Dinner Dance to be held on November 9th, please volunteer to help our Anniversary Committee chaired by Diane L.

An interesting note, during the last 50 years a total of 1,080 Scouts and 224 Adult Leaders have been registered in Troop 332.  We have valid addresses for about half the members. If you know of an address, telephone number and e-mail address for someone we might have lost touch with, please send the to either Diane or myself.

I would also like to thank all of the adults who made the 2001-2002 program so successful.  I look forward to your continued assistance and support for the coming year.

                            Yours in Scouting,
                            Chairman Ed
