Issue
No. 02/01-1
I would like to welcome everyone back after the holidays. The Troop is looking forward to a great 2002. We started off the year with the Troop basketball challenge. We challenged Troop 20 of Cedarhurst and they had a great time on 01/04/02. Everyone on both teams contributed and the spirit was really great. Troop 332 successfully defended the Challenge Cup for an undefeated record of 8 and 0. The score was 48 (Troop 332) to 37 (Troop 20).
TRAFFIC SAFETY MERIT BADGE/
BOWLING
Notices have gone
out on the Traffic Safety Merit Badge Class and Bowl-A-Thon events scheduled in
the morning and afternoon respectively, on January 26th. Everyone's
participation is welcomed. Bowlers will have Pizza at Noon in St.
Raymond's School cafeteria.
POPCORN SALES
As the Iroquois
District Chairman, as well as Troop 332 Committee Chair, the popcorn campaign
was a very important part of the District's Finance campaign supporting the
program for the boys registered not only in Troop 332, but also in the Packs,
Troops and Crews of the District. I want to thank all of those who have
participated in the popcorn sales. If you have not yet turned in your
sales proceeds, please contact Mrs. Laukaitis at 599-0311. We still have
popcorn available, and I ask that if you can sell more, contact Mrs. Laukaitis
for the items needed.
REGISTRATION FEES
The Troop must
re-charter in the month of February, so I would ask that anyone who has not yet
turned in their 2001-2002 registration fees, do so as promptly as
possible. A reminder notice is being prepared to be sent out. If
anyone is experiencing a financial hardship please contact me so that an
accommodation can be made.
